Our founders, Cathy and Chef Jason Alston, created Gwada Soul in 2023 to bring the quintessential marriage of Caribbean and Gullah Southern cuisine to their customers. The Chef develops inspired dishes from his wife’s birthplace of Guadeloupe and his childhood home of Cross near Charleston, South Carolina. These dishes provide a journey that marries both cuisines, bursting with bold and authentic flavors. Bringing authentic soul food to San Antonio.
